It is a little confusing since this is not a restaurant however, we enjoyed the food and service at the Pindara Private Hospital whilst staying there. The food was great and we had many dishes to choose from (we just tick the ones we want). The menu has a good variety including both hot and cold dishes. We enjoyed particularly beef steak with mushroom gravy and roast lamb with oven baked potatoes. The food is fresh, tasty, healthy, and it was enough for both of us! We give Pindara Private Hospital an overall rating of 10 out of 10 for quantity and quality, and moreover, we didn’t spend a cent since it was all covered by Medibank Private.
Before mummy and I were discharged from the hospital, I had to undertake a hearing test to make sure that I can hear properly with both of my ears.
The first test took place on Monday, 29 January 2007 by some stupid fat nurse who didn’t know how to use the equipment properly and swapped my name with my mummy’s name. The test on my left ear took more than 30 minutes to complete and it failed since there was no response. The nurse gave up in the end and told us to come back, which made mummy cry for 2 days.
We repeated the test today with a different nurse and the test took less than 10 minutes. Both of my ears turned out fully functional and mummy was so happy she cried again. I think this time, mummy is crying because she promised to become a vegetarian for 3 months (while praying) if both my ears are normal.
I slept with daddy on my first night. Daddy would sing me all my favourite songs to put me to sleep. He must have sang that Khan Kluay song more than 50 times and I’m totally sick of it. But I don’t know how to make him shut up. Anyway, I think daddy has the most smelly armpit.
Hello everyone! My name is Valerie but everybody calls me Lily. I was born today (Australia Day) at 8:45 AM at Pindara Private Hospital in Gold Coast, Australia. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like coming out and I was overdue for 8 days. So the doctors had to cut my mummy’s stomach and take me out.
I was only 2.6 kg and I like to make bubbles in my mouth. Daddy said that I was purple when I came out and mummy couldn’t stop crying!
After I was born I began to experience some strange feelings. Sometimes I feel hungry, cold, hot, and something sticky on my butt. I don’t know what to do most of the times so I cry and let mummy and daddy take care of the problems.
There are also a lot of things I have to learn. For example, everytime I cry, mummy would put something into my mouth. I think I have to do something with that. Em…not sure.
We have finally decided to accept my offer at the University of New South Wales. I will be travelling down to Sydney in mid-February. I have also arranged for my CQU exam to be taken at the Sydney campus instead of the Gold Coast and hopefully that will give me a few extra days to adjust to the environment.
What a year! 2006 went past so fast and I’m already halfway into my postgrad. There are so much things happening and 2007 is just going to be more fun.
