Uni life at UNSW has started and I’m busy learning Fluxbox as most of the computer labs are running Linux. So much for GUI, now it’s time to go back to typing commands into a terminal. I spent a couple of hours this afternoon sitting in the lab working out how to change the desktop wallpaper. It’s insane! Anyway, hopefully I will have Internet at home tomorrow and then I will be uploading more family photos.
Today Grandma and grandpa took me to the Alison Park. Grandpa was holding me in the arms and there were a few people there. We walked around and got some fresh air. I liked it very much. Grandpa’s arms were very warm and I fell asleep. Can I sleep? Wow…I slept for 2 hours. I really had a good time. Thank you grandma and grandpa!
Mummy and grandma shaved my hair today. It was really uncomfortable. Mummy said that every newborn has to shave their hair once. Ummm…I don’t think this is called a haircut. It looks very unprofessional.
Today I’m one month old! We had a small party with mummy, daddy, grandma and grandpa. Everybody had delicious chocolate cake except me! Oh wait a minute…em, that’s right, I don’t have teeth yet! I don’t remember much of the party because I was so drunk after grandma fed me some red wine with her chopstick…
Anyway, here is a picture of mummy holding me with grandma and grandpa.
After almost one month of trial-and-error, I finally managed to suck my mummy’s milk. It was so difficult for mummy to pump her milk and feed me through a bottle all the time.
We travelled from the Gold Coast to Sydney last week by car and arrived safely. Within days we found a convenient apartment to rent and have successfully set up our new home in Randwick, just minutes to walk from UNSW.
In the past few days I attended various activities including the university and faculty orientations. My Network Security’s final (CQU) is coming up this Friday so I have to spare some time to prepare for the examination.
Today mummy, daddy and grandma took me on a very long journey to a place I have never been before. We started out about 10 am and drove south for almost 11 hours. It was extremely boring during the trip so I decided to sleep for most of the time. We arrived in a small town called Taree and settled at a motel for the night. The next day we continued driving until daddy said, “Tada…we are in Sydney!”. Mummy told me that I have been here before but I don’t remember, em…………………….
