…………..

Mummy, mummy. Please cheer up!

Happy Birthday to Fon!

A warm congratulations to Fon! The C++ code below will output the value of her age:

#include <iostream>
using std::cout;
using std::endl;

int main()
{
int age=26;
int i=2;
int j=4;

cout<<”Fon’s age: “<<age+i*j<<endl;

return 0;
}

To her disappointment, she failed her driver licence written test when she thought she had all the luck.

Jimmy’s graduation

Jimmy had his graduation ceremony today at QPAC and we went out for a little gathering afterwards. It was one of the highlights for 2007 since I don’t go out that much. We played bowling at Sunnybank and had dinner in Surfers. I also met one of Jimmy’s friends Ellli, who is a lovely person. Here are some photos for you.

Jimmy and Elli Sexy couple Dinner at Yuuga

Yuuga

38 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217
Telephone 07 5539 0993

This dine-in restaurant is exceptional. We came across the place when we were looking for another Japanese restaurant around in Surfers Paradise. To our surprise the service, quality, and setting are all near perfect and most importantly, the food is sensational. Located on Cavill Ave, the restaurant isn’t that big but you will find its authentic Japanese-styled dining experience. I felt like I was in Japan for a second (I have been there twice)!

The pricing is affordable. Main course starts from $20 and it comes with a set of Prawn Tempura, vegetables, rice and miso soup. The music is good. While I did not hear any traditional/pop Japanese tracks you would probably hear in any other Japanese restaurant, what I did hear though is somewhere along the lines of the Buddha Bar compilations. To sum up, Yuuga was pleasing, relaxing, and delightful. We give it a 10 out of 10, probably the best dining for 2007.

Four birthdays and a load of assignments

Last night we went out to celebrate four birthdays with Evelyn, Cassandra, Fon and little princess of course. Since we never got around to celebrate any one of our birthdays, we decided to do it all together. I have to mention here that I was suppose to plan the venue and I had it all worked out only to realise the restaurant does not exist anymore. Anyway, we eventually found a Japanese restaurant called Yuuga situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise. You will hear more about it when I do a restaurant review.

Other than my private life, I have been busy NOT doing my assignments. I now have a load of them to finish off as well as some catch up reading. Mum and dad are flying in this evening so I will be making a trip to the airport and back after work. SHIT…forgot to refuel!

Movies

Jimmy came down for the weekend and we went to watch Die Hard 4.0. It turned out to be the best movie I have seen in 2007. I also got Hannibal Rising out on DVD which was extremely disappointing. You name it, everything from the casting, acting, plot are all unbelievably crap.

Response from Westpac

Westpac called yesterday and advised that its security consultants are determined that the only way to improve its added security is by limiting the user’s browser and operating system. Good on them, they have reassured that I will not be coming back at least for the next decade.
