I kept forgetting how to cancel voicemail settings on Optus prepaid network. So, this time I will write it down to remind myself.
Optus voicemail allows you to record a greeting message so that when you miss a call, you are on the phone, or your phone is switched off, callers can leave a message for you to retrieve at a later time. While this feature may be essential for some users, I find it extremely annoying. My dad complains that he wastes credit when he calls from overseas and is greeted by voicemail.
The following code will deactivate the voicemail feature on your Optus prepaid network. Type in the code exactly as it appears and press the Send button on your phone. The Send button is the button which you press to make a call, usually has a green handset symbol on it.

Today I turned 1 year old. Mummy, daddy, and grandma took me to a very big restaurant to celebrate. They ordered eye fillet steak, cold platter, and grilled snapper. In the end was my birthday cake but nobody could eat anymore. Grandma helped me to blow the candle out because I was too scared.

This Chinese managed and operated Japanese restaurant (possibly owned by Chinese) isn’t going to be your fine dining experience, but it does provide inexpensive Asian cuisine. The restaurant features a sushi train as well as dishes to order. We find most dishes average around $10 and I’m talking about chicken or fish teriyaki that comes with miso soup and salad. The taste obviously is non-genuine but most people doesn’t seem to mind for the price. We give Arigatou Sushi Teppanyaki a 6 out of 10 as it is really a very average restaurant.
Their business card indicates that they also have a shop in Broadbeach and Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Their Executive Director Donny Chan happens to be a Justice of Peace so I might as well certify some documents next time I go dining.
Over the last two days I managed to “acquire” a Samsung 26 inch widescreen LCD TV. It’s now hooked up to my laptop and perhaps I need a bigger desk … but it will do just fine for now.
We got to Southbank at around 11:30 and found a good spot next to the river. The fireworks was spectacular, lasting for 10 minutes or so. It was lucky that we came to Brisbane since the Gold Coast fireworks was cancelled due to severe weather conditions. We left quickly afterwards to get ahead of the traffic.
