Hi everyone! It’s me, Lily! I’ve been in Port Moresby for a couple of weeks now and here are some photos of me with my family.

I’m learning a new language called Tok Pisin, it’s what they speak in Papua New Guinea. I’ve met lots of new friends whom I play soccer with every afternoon.

Today I’m going on a trip with grandma. We are flying to Port Moresby to see grandpa! I’m so excited although I’m still sleeping now while daddy is writing this blog entry for me. It’s 6:30 am and I think they are going to wake me up in any minute. No, leave me alone! I want to sleep……

P.S. Soon I’m going to see Jiema, Priscilla, Auntie Mary and Betty who are my best friends!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Hey guys! Today, mummy, daddy and grandma took me to Sheraton to celebrate my birthday. I’m actually turning 2 tomorrow on Australia Day but daddy didn’t want to pay for surcharge so they decided to celebrate today. He spent $260 anyway! I got 3 new toys as well. Daddy spent $80 at Toys R Us in Pacific Fair. I got an ABC puzzle block, 100 pieces lego-like building block thingy, and a push bike.

Grandma thought it was really cool to take photos of the celebration without a SD card. Therefore, we lost all of the photos that was taken with the camera. Luckily daddy was smart enough to take a couple of shots with his mobile phone and here they are:

Short visit in Port Moresby

Here are a few shots taken recently while daddy visited us shortly last week.

While daddy was here we had a great time playing soccer. It was a game of girls vs boys and the boys team lost by 10/6. Sadly I had to watch them play since they didn’t allow players with baby walkers. Just you wait…

Getaway in PNG

Hey guys! Great to see you again.

Today I travelled with grandma (daddy’s mummy) to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. It’s my first time here but it’s where daddy grew up. The weather is so hot here and there are so many unfamiliar faces. The first thing I said when grandpa got into the car was “yie yie” (grandpa in Mandarin). Grandpa was so happy and I said it again when we got home. Then I met our hausmeri Mary and Betty who were really excited to see me.

In the evening we dinned out at the Airways and I terrorised the hotel with my talented piano skills. Then I decided to throw everything off the table but grandpa made me pick them all up and gave me a very serious talk. When we got back home grandpa taught me how to kill little ants running on the walls and I think I did a pretty good job. For the rest of the evening I kept on switching the TV channels like I did back in Australia which got grandpa really annoyed but I think he will forgive me.

Anyway, I had a great day today. I’m so tired and exhausted. By the way…I wonder where is mummy and daddy? La la la…

Happy 1st Birthday!

Today I turned 1 year old. Mummy, daddy, and grandma took me to a very big restaurant to celebrate. They ordered eye fillet steak, cold platter, and grilled snapper. In the end was my birthday cake but nobody could eat anymore. Grandma helped me to blow the candle out because I was too scared.

Happy Birthday!
